New Mexico-based, Yohuna, is the delicate, ambient project of Johanne Swanson. The beautiful and dreamy, January 18th released (with production/mixing/recording assistance by Vacation Dad) EP, Revery, has easily found it's way into my heart and most specifically my favorite small scale releases of the year so far. With pale pink frosted tracks, echo-y reverb and the occasional lightly thumping back beat, Yohuna depicts the kind of innocent love that can be found within a tension-haunted walk home leading up to a first kiss and the bedroom door-closed silent rejoice to follow.
